Mt Bachelor Snowboard Lessons

Mt Bachelor, located in Central Oregon, is an independent ski resort with over 4,318 acres and 101 named runs. It also boasts an amazing vertical drop of 3,365ft. Despite its size and stature, Mt Bachelor has a wholesome local's feel with breathtaking views of the Three Sisters and surrounding pines. Snowfall is excellent here due to its high elevation and northeast/northwest-facing main slopes. It's also popular with snowboarders because it has many groomed trails for beginners.

Mt Bachelor Ski & Ride School offers lessons for all levels and abilities of ski and snowboarding. Our highly-trained instructors can help you improve your skiing and snowboarding skills, from beginner to expert.

A Day on the Mountain is the Best Course for Beginners, ages 7+

Our Best for Beginners program was created to give your child the ultimate experience in ski or snowboarding. This program includes a group lesson as well as rental gear and a full day lift ticket.

Learn the Basics - ages 6+

Our Beginner lesson program is for both children and adults, ages 7 and above. These lessons are taught by a certified instructor. Ski and snowboard rentals are available for use during the lesson.

Intermediate and Advanced - 13+

Our Intermediate and advanced programs are for students who know how to link turns on green and blue terrain. They are able to control their speed on black-diamond terrain, and can enjoy all terrain in various conditions.


LEVEL 5 - ages 11+

Our Level Five program is for students who are comfortable and confident on all green and most blue terrain. They can control speed in a variety situations and can use pole swing to plant in all turns.

During our Level Six program, students are able to link turns on all blue and most green terrain with varying degrees of difficulty, while still retaining control. They can also use pole swings or plants in all turns.

Remember that learning to ski/snowboard takes time. Mt Bachelor staff will work with your child to help them learn and improve.

Homeschool Lesson Program - Thursdays, ages 7-15

Our Thursday Homeschool Program is a four week midweek program for all ability skiers and snowboarders ages 7-15. This program is interactive, informative, and social. The focus is on safety and learning.

Winter Ride - Spring break for youth ages 6-12

Our Winter Ride program provides transportation for youth between grades 6-12 during spring break. The Winter Ride team collaborates with local coordinators to provide transportation from and to Mt. Baker for the duration.
